No 188wm

No: 188 Ghost

From deep in the ocean

A thought swells, sends

Pressure to the directions

Gathers momentum, becomes a wave

That breaks on a faraway beach

Of Manzanita mirror with lichen white caps

Where wading birds scurry back

Wondering at the meaning.

The ocean doesn’t directly answer

Only draws back

Giving credence to another thought

Ghostly whisper of an old idea

That it too may come hurrying

Crashing its surf of excitement

Onto the shores of existence.

So they keep coming

Minute after minute into hours and days,

Entire texts, codexes of meaning

Inviting anyone to read them.
